SEOUL — On the evening of July 10, Bonogit Hussain, a 29-year-old Indian man, and Hahn Ji-seon, a female Korean friend, were riding a bus near Seoul when a man in the back began hurling racial and sexist slurs at them.
The situation would be a familiar one to many Korean women who have dated or even — as in Ms. Hahn’s case — simply traveled in the company of a foreign man.
What was different this time, however, was that, once it was reported in the South Korean media, prosecutors sprang into action, charging the man they have identified only as a 31-year-old Mr. Park with contempt, the first time such charges had been applied to an alleged racist offense. Spurred by the case, which is pending in court, rival political parties in Parliament have begun drafting legislation that for the first time would provide a detailed definition of discrimination by race and ethnicity and impose criminal penalties.

In South Korea, a country repeatedly invaded and subjugated by its bigger neighbors, people’s racial outlooks have been colored by “pure-blood” nationalism as well as traditional patriarchal mores, said Seol Dong-hoon, a sociologist at Chonbuk National University.
Centuries ago, when Korean women who had been taken to China as war prizes and forced into sexual slavery managed to return home, their communities ostracized them as tainted. In the last century, Korean “comfort women,” who worked as sex slaves for the Japanese Imperial Army, faced a similar stigma. Later, women who sold sex to American G.I.’s in the years following the 1950-53 Korean War were despised even more. Their children were shunned as “twigi,” a term once reserved for animal hybrids, said Bae Gee-cheol, 53, whose mother was expelled from her family after she gave birth to him following her rape by an American soldier.

For many Koreans, the first encounter with non-Asians came during the Korean War, when American troops fought on the South Korean side. That experience has complicated South Koreans’ racial perceptions, Mr. Seol said. Today, the mix of envy and loathing of the West, especially of white Americans, is apparent in daily life.
The government and media obsess over each new report from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, to see how the country ranks against other developed economies. A hugely popular television program is “Chit Chat of Beautiful Ladies” — a show where young, attractive, mostly Caucasian women who are fluent in Korean discuss South Korea. Yet, when South Koreans refer to Americans in private conversations, they nearly always attach the same suffix as when they talk about the Japanese and Chinese, their historical masters: “nom,” which means “bastards.” Tammy Chu, 34, a Korean-born film director who was adopted by Americans and grew up in New York State, said she had been “scolded and yelled at” in Seoul subways for speaking in English and thus “not being Korean enough.” Then, she said, her applications for a job as an English teacher were rejected on the grounds that she was “not white enough.”
Koreans have a clarity of feeling with regard to other Koreans that is not really possible in a multi-race, multi-ethnic country. Koreans will fight hard to preserve this and the world should respect the effort.
OTOH, Koreans know that they (even as really splendid as the country is) have to engage a tortured, changing world outside.
But Koreans have a secret weapon- the Korean language. A very unique language (poorly taught, and very hard to acquire) that keeps the walls very high, very strong. Let English be the language of the raggedy ass, intercoursing world, Korean will always be for Koreans.

Apparently the Koreans consider the Chinese to be an inferior race.

Don't be rediculus. Half of China's foreign students come from South Korea. If Koreans consider the Chinese inferior, why would the parents send their kids to Chinese colleges?

Many of them are eager to have their kids learn Chinese. The Japan language also use Han characters. College students need to master 1800 Han characters to gruduate. The standard was raised to 2100 characters recently.

It's not so simple Raja.
Lots of Chinese language signs in Korea, lots of Koreans learning Chinese. Nice combo effect starting up in NE Asia. Both are Confucian countries and history has shown Confucius kicks Jesus's ass. See Korean War, Vietnam War, Hawaii, UCLA, SAT scores, etc.

"Our ethnic homogeneity is a blessing,” said one of the critics, Lee Sung-bok, a bricklayer who said his job was threatened by migrant workers. “If they keep flooding in, who can guarantee our country won’t be torn apart by ethnic war as in Sri Lanka?”

In spite of society's best efforts, the diversity experiment in Europe and America is failing right in front of our eyes with the metastasizing of third world enclaves in their major cities.
Now, Lee Sung Bok may well be a simple bricklayer. But he does have common sense.

One thing about Koreans: they don't really give a shit what the lawyers tell them is the right way.The police in Korea are Koreans first, internationalists 9th, or 15th, whatever. The police don't really give a shit what the lawyers say either.
Koreans are a visual people. Eyes first, ears second. In the West, -where people have ripped their eyes out- it's all through the ears. The Jews, feminists, the Protestant Denomination of the Year, lawyers, talky marketing bullshitters win.

Yeah, the Koreans do have commonsense: They call the Chinese “nom,” which means “bastards". [see above] Not without good reason, I would assume.

Very nicely put, eyes vs ears, or instinct (honed in by millennia of natural selection) vs verbally constructed liberal fantasy merely 50 years ago.
Haven't verified this but there are apparently more lawyers in California than the whole of Japan. Many Japanese/Koreans/Chinese do business with a handshake, not with some hired 6-member lawyer team with contracts in xeroxed triplicate.
And I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how any 100,000 word essays or 21-volume encyclopedia will convince me that I should love my brother (or child or parent) as much as some foreign distant stranger. Blood is still thicker than water.
Again, eyes vs ears.
And in my view Korea is better and stronger that way.

It's the deep, deep problem of a constructed world. When you build, you cover. Buildings and architecture deceive. Books get in the way of instincts, holy books kill instinct. One reason white women love niggers and criminals- men who are (apparently) closest to their basic desires. Television, media, movies, once friendly to white people, are now enemies of white identity. TV, once a toy, now a killer. LOL.
White people don't want to be settled and manipulated into living with non-whites, any more than natives anywhere wanted to be dispossessed. But the process of white dispossession is complex one. Not well understood by white people themselves. At least not yet. Eurasian Slavs seem to understand it so much better than island WASPs. Eventually, WASPs, as they become more and more marginalized will settle into the Slavic mindset.(This is not a bad thing). Provided they can overcome Jew hectoring. Which is a big if!

Nah. Life isn't "ultimately" about anything. Just whatever can be imagined, even merely said is real.
In another universe you have a mixed race China, 5 is less than 4, black is the presence of all light, New York never wins the World Series, people piss in, not out, the moon we see is actually the moon as it is, the sun revolves around the earth, etc.

Yeah, but it will probably drive you insane.

VDARE is a white racist website, as are all it's writers. Steve Sailor is a race sensationalist, race whore. Bad in his own way as Al Sharpton is his. Both make money and careers off multi-culti racism. (Not a bad way to live, mind).
Sobran is a famed plagiarist and white racist. People ask, where are yellow racists of Sobran's quality? It's to our credit that we don't need them.

Korea and Japan have outgrown their borders (certainly the women have). It's time their men did the same. Their are plenty of nations out there (like all of them) that are willing and could use the IQ boost from mixing with Korean and Japanese men.
If Koreans do/did not think they are superior race to Chinese and Japanese, how would they have survived the history and why would they want to keep their own unique cultures?
If you had known the history very well, you will find out Koreans were the masters of these two slaved countries long before they become big unified nations. It doesn't hurt to learn more history.

Certainly Japanese-American physicist Michio Kaku did popularize the idea of time warps, hyperspace, 10th dimensions etc. Still, if we're all stardust, it's funny how most people still try to avoid death at all costs? If afterlife is so glamorous, why do even ardent Buddhists or Christians (or their families) (and with the possible exception of suicide-bombing Muslims) not look forward to a premature death? And it's still funny how poor people still clamor for welfare and still pine for that lottery win rather than saying, well, in another universe I'm rich and so it's all swell in this one.
No, I think this whole bit of imagination, of a different universe, of constructing castles in thin air -- it's merely a cop-out for those who can't face reality.
>> And I still think Nietzsche's right: "that which doesn't kill you makes >> you stronger".....

That was in the context of why Slavs or the Russians or Jews, or Koreans or Chinese have a higher (modern) sense of peoplehood.
And that may explain in part American or NW European (but not E European) "decadence", which from history heralds downfall.

If you look at the big picture, everyone is a "racist" at heart whether people admit it or not, just as most love their own family more than some distant stranger (recall the example, when you're on the boat with 10 other people and you're the one who knows how to swim, the boat overturns, and one of the other 10 people is your own child or brother and you can only save one, I think most people will have no problems making up their mind whom to save first.)
When people cry "racist" it's just naming-calling and merely indicates impotent disapproval.

Agree that love of one's own should be an implicit and radiant one, rather than reactive and defensive in nature. This is indeed one of East Asia's strengths (though not saying there aren't the latter too in some instances).
The various "racist" sites are, when you think about it, the cri de coeur of what's been lost in the context of a progressively corroded and moribund dying civilization. And in this sense they serve as very important lessons of how not to repeat history's unforgivable mistakes.

Well if some are shed off that's fine.
But within a couple generations you'll see a North America that's more like South America than Sweden; and a Europe that will be more like Turkey or the Middle East.
The reservoir of relative human capital in some countries will then be so obvious and precious that by then even you may be hesitant to give it away. ;)

For some, that is true. But if it's possible that there is a multiverse, there's no reason people with chops shouldn't be thinking or imagining what it might be.

Closed set, group think, in a linear direction. Sometimes good, sometimes explodes. But fun to watch from the outside. I've always said the white on black, black on white drama is one the greatest shows on Earth. Just when you think one side is gonna crush the other, there's an interception and return for touchdown, Mother Fucker!

It's an art. Some people can get away with it, use it for gain. Others get hurt when they do it. Like nun-chuks. Use them well and you hurt others, use them poorly, you hurt yourself.

But it's not easy to tell what the lessons of history are. Establishing the facts are easy, the lessons are really hard.

It's easy to say from the relative comfort of China. But history shows the world catches up to China. Your way thinking, (and not saying there's anything wrong with it) probably has a shelf-life of about one generation, before radical changes need to be made.
There is more to the life afer death than you think. Life in real life is only a tiny part of the life after death. Because you remain dead 99 percent of time than being physically alive. But over all, I think life after death is more real than the time travel, multi-verse nonsense. The universe is alive, and filled with the live souls. Souls have to go through the growing up process from the real life in the physical world.

Korea was controlled by China in ancient times and Japan in modern times. Today south korea is under the control of the US.
The country is one of the most homogenous of all countries in the world. Everyone looks the same and even has the same sir name (only 2 sir names exist : kim or park). This kind of conformity has its positivies but also has many negatives.
In the long run however, history shows their homogenity will ultimately be lost. No homogenous tribe has ever survived without getting diluted down by foreigners.
Prepare to be inseminated by the Chinese, Japanese, Indians and US in the 21st century. Over the next 100 years, Korea will continue to export TVs and hyundai cars while the rest of the world will export their semen to Korea. That's the only way other countries can balance their 'budget' deficit.

Ironically it's not men who worship different Gods the same way; it's actually men who worship the same God different ways.
It's good to imagine all sorts of things from 3-headed demons to how pigs can fly but from a practical stance, a multiverse is meaningless for a no simpler reason than if there's a way to traverse it and return i.e. it's somehow connected, it'd be our universe. Much like if religion or speculation can be shown or proven true it will no longer be confined to that domain of superstition and fantasy but rather that of fact and reality.
And as for what's real what's fact, if some are so pure, feel free not to trespass in language or logic. That option is always, and very widely, open.

Don't miss comment 1 from a race-realist/white nationalist perspective:
Or maybe just think if Germany didn't open up the Russian front in WWII, or if Japan didn't have practically the whole coastline of Asia to defend etc.

Agree, and which is why I've always said its one powerful factor (winning or defeating) that even the most noblest intentions written on some piece of paper yet can't still overcome.

Well, at the minimum history so far is little more than a tale of tribal destiny.

I was referring to Japan and Korea and yes at least North China and Taiwan. The beauty of a longer-term view is fluidity: when the world catches up, you're still a step forward. Relative, not absolute.

Some thorough bred blood is better to be left alone. Why do you think those horse breeders concern about not mixing bad(inferior) blood in their horse stocks.
What you have missed in your concept about Koreans is that these pure bred Han Koreans have become the rulers of those giant nations like China and Japan, even Europe by Attila the Hun.
The present Koreans are left alone because of their fierce fight to preserve their purity and also by the help of the nice secluded geographical location.
They scorned Chinese and Japanese for being mixed ups with the inferior stocks for centuries. I don't think even the average Chinese or Japanese deny that.
