Dear Myanmar Myo Chits , Patriots,
Talking is nice . It is nice to talk. better than not talking. It is
your right to talk . Its everybody’s right to talk. Talking too
much , talking too little, especially when you know what to talk
about, and how to talk. Talking too much , talking too little , do
not matter, as long as you talk. We talk everyday, we talk about
everything. If you don’t talk people might think you are dumb. It
would be greater when you talk sense.
What do you want to talk about? What are we going to talk about? Talk
of peace, talk of war? In which way, dialogue, debate, negotiation,
mediation , declaration, announcement, communiqué ? What else?
We are not alone in the world. We may not be alone in the Universe.
There are others in the world and there may be others in the Universe
as well. We cannot talk only about ourselves. We can talk about
others , because we are in the same world, may be in the same Universe
with others. What we do it effect others. What other do, it effects
us. Because we all are human species. We human are inter-related one
way or the other.
Let’s talk about ourselves and our nation of Myanmars. To begin with
Myanmar is making arrangements to have an election in 2010. , we are
hearing some people talking about NOT approving the Constitution.
Especially by the people who were never near a polling station in
Myanmar or outside Myanmar to vote “ YES” or to vote “NO”. To vote for
or to vote against the constitution. As a matter of fact, they never
vote. They were exercising their rights . That was nothing wrong.
Yet nobody from official political party in Union of Myanmar have
officially declared or announced they don’t approved of the
constitution, they don’t approve of the election, that is why they
are not going to participate in then elections.
This Constitution is approved by the people who are eligible to vote,
“YES or NO ”. For or against . This Constitution is approved by the
people and the citizens of the Nation of Myanmars. This Constitution
of Union of Myanmar is drafted, adopted by the citizens from all walks
of life, and approved by the citizens of the nation of Myanmars from
all walks of life in the referendum . This Constitution is, The
Constitution of the People, by the People , for the People. There are
those who are against, it is understandable, it is normal.
We are hearing some people talking about, NOT participating in the
coming elections. They may be exercising their rights. That is a
legitimate right. There is no law in Union of Myanmar saying you must
participate . There is no law in Union of Myanmar against a citizen
who does not cast his vote.
Last year in the run up to the Presidential elections in United States
of America. One of the Presidential hopeful Mrs Hilary Clinton
withdrew herself from the race. She did not participate in the
Presidential election against Barak H. Obama. But the elections went
ahead, without her. Obama won.
It is a citizen right, to exercise his rights as he pleases. But
citizens have NO rights to infringe the rights of other citizens , or
to deny other citizens their rights.
There is also no law at the moment, to prevent any person, who are
illegible to vote, not to vote. For this, Chapter VIII, IX and X of
the Constitution stated clearly the rights and the responsibilities of
all the citizens . Citizens of the Nation of Myanmar have a right to
have an election, multi party democratic elections. They have the
right to vote. They have a right to elected, a government to be
called , a Government of the People , for the People , by the People.
Who has the right to deny that rights to the citizens of the people of
Myanmar? YOU ?
Myanmar is a Free, Independent , Sovereign Nation. I do hope people
understand the meaning of it. I say this, because I am seeing many
people Myanmars and foreigners do not understand the meaning. Or they
make their own meanings. Whether Myanmar or any other nation which is
Free , Independent and Sovereign nation, if it is not in Western
style, if it cannot be influenced by the West, if it cannot be
undermined by the West, this nation is never acknowledge or
recognised as Free, Independent, Sovereign Nation.
In other word, Free, Independent, Sovereign nation is a nation which
the West can manipulate . If the west cannot poke its nose in those
Nations, those Nations will never be recognised or acknowledged as
Free, Independent , Sovereign nation.
Freedom, Independent and Sovereignty under the control of the West.
Unfortunately most of these nations are small, if not tiny, former
colonies of the nation in the west one or the other.
Which means the west has no respect for the rights of those nations,
as well as the human rights of the citizen of those nations. The West
always like to have a last word to say “ yes ” or “ no ”, in other
nations affairs, why? Why should a Constitution of a Free,
Independent, Sovereign Nation. Or an election of a Free,
Independent , Sovereign has to be approved by the West, why must it
get the approval of the West?
Does the west has authority and right to overrule Myanmar and its
citizens, who are the citizen of a Free, Independent Sovereign Nation
of Myanmars? Some people talks about the “ Credibility ” . How
Credible is the West is the question any way? Every body is seeing
what is happening in the world. What “ Credibility ”, whose “
Credibility ” are we talking about ?
As far as elections are concern in any country, it seems like, if the
West does not approved the elections, does not approved the election
results , especially candidate they want to win does not win, the one
they don’t want does win, these elections are never Free or never
Fair. The citizen must elect , the pro west candidate or else.
In every elections, there are those who deserve to win, and those who
actually won.
Who deserve to win is not that important. But who does win is
important for the west.
With this kind of threats, this intimidations, and harassments from
the very start, how can they call these elections, Free and Fair, not
to mention the world media campaigning for some one, on behalf of
someone everyday and night, condemning the other every day and night,
through the air waves ?
The world today is said to be led by United States of America, as the
world leader. United States has all the experiences. The experience
of being under a colonial power. Being the target of the original
indigenous natives people or ethnic races . How it over came these
problems. Then the Revolution against colonial master for the American
Independent. Then American civil war among themselves, Civil Rights
movements by the blacks, etc., etc. And now a half black man is the
President of the nation.
These are not rapid changes, but gradual changes, continuity and
changes going together, over centuries. Not through democracy, not
through human rights. Democracy and human right started only in the
late 20 th century , democratization of the world started only after
WW II or after 1945. In another word, Westernisation , Globalisation
of western ideas , western system. Whether you like it or not,
whether it suits or not. You have to do it or else.
There is hardly anything that United States has not done in the world,
one way or the other. There was hardly any time that United States
never forced other to do something, one way or the other. Legal or not
Legal , United States does what it wants to do one way or the other.
It does with its own laws. United States does not care. What are e
talking about international law this and that.
United States can say it does not break any rule, but it always band
the rules.
United States never respect others Freedom, Independent or the rights
of other Sovereign Nations. United States always telling others what
to do. If they don’t do, they become the target of United States, they
become the victims. That is Freedom, that is justice, that is
equality.
Myanmar saying is “ Khoung Ga Moe Lon Ya Me ”, the roof must be rain
worthy. If United State as world leader is not Fair , not Just and not
considers others as Equals, then what are we talking about, what do
they expect of the others? It cannot tell or preach others to be
Fair, to be Just and to be treat Equally to others. “Do as I say,
don’t do as I do, is out of date.”
Myanmar leaders have lots of experience. Even we are picking up some
experience, where United States tried to get involved in our nations
affairs. I have said it before. Not bed time stories, not legends ,
but the facts. We have seen Koreas, Vietnam , Cambodia and Laos in
Southeast Asia. We are seeing the Middle East region, Afghanistan,
Iraq, Palestine. South/Latin America, Nicaragua, Honduras, Salvador ,
Granada, Columbia. Venezuela . Is there any place where US does not
get involved?
Recently in Pakistan everyday people are being kill, blown to pieces,
because Pakistan being so close to US. Not to forget United States is
buying out the Pakistani Government . Pakistan did not send its
troops to Afghanistan, or to Iraq. But it has no choice now, it is
involve especially with Afghanistan via Taliban inside Pakistan, so
they say. The US aid package worth US$ 1.7 billion while US citizens
are jobless, unemployment living below human standard in US. Some
Pakistanis are protesting against US and its so called aid packages.
US trying to engage Myanmar or Myanmar leaders trying to engage with
US, recently.
What are the leaders from both side thinking? What are they going to
talk about ? US Myanmar bilateral relations or trade relations,
business where directly concern with economic sanctions. OR Myanmars
domestic affairs. DO we Myanmars have a right to know?
