Myanmar Won't Allow Thailand's Foe To Use Its Soil, Says PM

HUA HIN, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Myanmar Prime Minister General Thein Sein
has assured his Thai counterpart Abhisit Vejjajiva that his country
would not allow anyone opposing Thailand to use its soil as a
springboard to attack the kingdom, according to the Thai News Agency
(TNA).

Thein Sein, who is now attending the 15th Association of Southeast
Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit being held in the Thai resorts of Hua Hin
and Cha-am, reportedly told Abhisit on the sidelines of the summit
Friday, that Myanmar upheld the principle of living in harmony and
that it would not allow anyone opposing Thailand wishing to use his
country as springboard in attacking this country.

Expressing his confidence that Southeast Asian countries, including
Thailand, could sail through obstacles and negative challenges, Thein
Sein told Abhisit that both Myanmar and Thailand share a long border
and both countries have to depend with each other and good
neighbourliness is, therefore, significant.

Thein Sein's remarks were made after Abhisit and Cambodian Prime
Minister Hun Sen traded words after the Khmer leader reasserted Friday
on arriving for the ASEAN summit that his government would reject any
Thai request to extradite former Thai prime minister Thaksin
Shinawatra if the self-exiled ex-premier accepts an invitation for
refuge in Cambodia.

Hun Sen told journalists to read the extradition treaty thoroughly to
understand why the former Thai premier, whom he described as his
friend, can stay in Cambodia as a guest of the Cambodian government.

Ousted in a bloodless coup in September 2006, Thaksin jumped bail and
fled sentencing to a two-year jail term for malfeasance in the
controversial Bangkok's Ratchadapisek land purchase case.

The toppled Thai premier now spends most of his time in the United
Arab Emirates after his status as a visitor was rejected by a number
of countries including both the United Kingdom and Germany.

Thanking Myanmar for its support given to Thailand as chairman of
ASEAN, Abhisit told Thein Sein that his government supports Japan's
financial assistance bestowed to Myanmar on various projects,
including developing hospitals and schools.

Abhisit said his government, as a close neighbour to Myanmar and host
of ASEAN, had told every country to strengthen ties with Myanmar and
had requested the Myanmar government leader to "unofficially report"
on progress on development projects in his country during the ASEAN
summit on Saturday.

Wishing Myanmar to successfully hold its general election next year,
Abhisit also told Thein Sein that he hopes to officially visit Myanmar
when he has the opportunity and to also meet Myanmar's opposition
leader Aung San Suu Kyi to boost democracy for the world community.

The leaders of ASEAN's 10 member countries--Brunei, Cambodia,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore,
Thailand and Vietnam-- are holding their three-day summit in the Thai
resorts with their six dialogue partners--China, South Korea, Japan,
India, Australia and New Zealand.

The summit ends Sunday.

Myanmar Won't Allow Thailand's Foe To Use Its Soil, Says PM

HUA HIN, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Myanmar Prime Minister General Thein
Sein
has assured his Thai counterpart Abhisit Vejjajiva that his country
would not allow anyone opposing Thailand to use its soil as a
springboard to attack the kingdom, according to the Thai News Agency
(TNA).
================================================================
Dear Myanmar Myo Chits, Patriots,

Thein Sein is a real diplomat. When he speaks , its full of meanings.
So neat, so tidy, so powerful , always come short to the point.  Those
who can read his minds , those who can read his small prints, or
between the lines or under the dotted lines can see clearly.
Whether Thai PM , can read him of not I am not sure.

Myanmar is not like Thailand . It never enjoys any foreign military
supports from any foreign lands. For the future it also enshrined in
the 2008 Constitution about not to have any foreign troops in
Thailand.

Visible or invisible Myanmar do not want any military bases not even
as a US Military Research Laboratory or Centre like the one Thailand
has. Myanmar will protect and defend Myanmar and its people from any
kind of enemy and foe.

Thein Sein said , “ that Myanmar upheld the principle of living in
harmony and
that it would not allow anyone opposing Thailand wishing to use his
country as springboard in attacking this country.”  He means it.

KNU used Thailand as springboard in attacking Myanmar . When Thein
Sein told Abhisit that both Myanmar and Thailand share a long border
and both countries have to depend with each other and good
neighbourliness is, therefore, significant.” Whether Thai PM Abhisit
the young man understands and knows what Thein Seain was saying or
not, I am not sure.

Thailand is facing some problems in the south of the country ,
concerning Muslims. Some Muslims from Myanmar who called themselves,
Rohingyas are joining the Muslims in the South of Thailand.  As
Thailand enjoys US supports , I am not surprise that the Muslims are
giving troubles to Thailand, It ism understandable.

Pakistan was OK, before, it was alright, when Musharaff was on duty.
Only when civilian came in and Pakistan allied with the US, accept US
supports,  things are started to happen in Pakistan.  Getting worse in
recent days.  Who is who , who is doing what   nobody can say.
Terrorists, Freedom fighters, fake terrorists, bogus terrorists, self
inflicted to justify its own actions, etc. Human minds, travels much
faster than sound, super sonic.

NLD led by Mrs Aris prefers US involvements, how will they justify
themselves , I do not know.  I am sorry say the NLD led by Mrs Aris or
the opposition cannot take any credit for some of the progress and
some of the developments in Myanmar. Because they have done all they
could to strip Myanmar off with everything.  Myanmars are not starving
to death  they live in the ir own house they are happy with whatever
nature provides them.

The fact is,  it is costly to please the US. It is expensive to keep,
US happy. US is already in the Pakistan, which Pakistan can do
nothing, like it or not, willing or not, with its consent or not. US
is there, it is real.

Now Myanmar is in the process of talking with US.  What will be the
consequences to this, we don’t know.  Myanmar is at the moment a
peaceful country compare to others . Thanks to SPDC.  There is law and
order in the country. .

If Myamar and Thai have has any existing treaty on extradition , there
are lost of so called Myanmars in Thailand to be extradited to
Myanmar, who most of them are in Chang Mai and around.  Khmer leader
will never forget, as a matter of fact nobody will ever forget that ,
US launched it attacks on Vietnam, Cambodia , and Laos using Thailand
as it’s launching pad.

Myanmar will never interfere in other countries international affairs.
It will stick to none interference policy of the ASEAN itself.

Abhisit himself said that he himself had told every country to
strengthen ties with Myanmar and had requested the Myanmar government
leader to "unofficially report" on progress on development projects in
his country during the ASEAN summit on Saturday.”

“ that his government supports Japan's financial assistance bestowed
to Myanmar on various projects, including developing hospitals and
schools”, That’s what Abhisit said

A progress is a progress, a development is a developments. Nobody can
fake progress or a fake developments . UN agencies and NGOs are there
in Myanmar, diplomatic missions are there in Myanmar. Only they can
make fake reports if they want to. That is how they did it to Iraq.

What did he ( Abhisit )mean by, to make “ unofficiall report ”. What
the hel, was he talking about?  A cheeky man he is.

“Abhisit also told Thein Sein that he hopes to officially visit
Myanmar when he has the opportunity and to also meet Myanmar's
opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi to boost democracy for the world
community’’

Abhisit also know how to take the opportunity. He was clever enough to
say that he will not visit , if he cannot meet  opposition leader.
Are these his own words or somebody put them in his mouth. No other
leaders of any Asean nation said  it like that.

In my view, as the host to the summit, Abhisit was thoroughly
insulting Thein Sein and Myanmars in his own way. Imdo hope Abhists
got Thein Sein's message.

Regards ,

Mogyothwar

Dear All,

" Myanmar Won't Allow Thailand's Foe To Use Its Soil," Says Myanmar PM
Thein Sein

Why did he say that. what made him say that , what provoked him to say
that?
What he did not say was, "  Myanmar won't attack Thailand.when Myanmar
is under attack by Thais and its friends."
Myanmars makes no enemy . If other take Myanmar as their enemy, its
hard luck.
Thailand and Myanmar had a history.  Thailand even made it as tourist
attractions everyday.
What the Thais don't realise is that, though they meant to insult
Myanmars everyday, Thai are glorifying Myanmars in their own way.
Tourist found out how strong Myanmars were, how great Myanmars were.
Sadly, that is one of the reasons why Thai and its friends do not want
Myanmar to be strong again.
Ye baw Mathey - They Thaw Nga Ye Malar , That is the spirit of Myanma
Tatmadaw
Some Kayins and Thais were hands in hands against Myanmar.  Could go
back to cenrturies.
Thais impersonated as Myanmar to wage war against their own King.

In the past Thaiand allowed Myanmar's foes KNU to attack Myanmar from
Thai soil using Thailand as launching pad.
Thailand gave santuary to the KNU on Thai soil . KNU was protected by
Thai
Thailand even attacked Myanmar, to sheild KNU to protect KNU. saying
Myanmar Tatmadaw's bullets, and shell landed on Thailand soil.

Thailand never allowed Myanma Tatmadaw to attack KNU.  ( Note.
Pakistan allowing US to attack Taleban on its soil).
Thailand issued Thai Passports or travel documents to KNU official to
travel around the world.
Tensions were very high between Thailand and Myanmar because of KNU.
Myanmar does not want to have another tension rise becaus of Thai land
is the friend of US.

Thailand must never forget, that it was the Patriotic spirits of
Vietnam Cabodia and Laos that kicked US arse,
It was Myanmar Patriotic spirit, that drove English and Japanes out of
Myanmar.

Myanmar PM Thein Sein did not have to spell out who Thailand's Foes
are?
Thailand is not a true friend to anybody, any of its neighbour.

Besides Thailand is the enemy to many Asean Nations, as you all
already aware.
Thailand is the enemy of Vietnam, enemy of Cambodia, enemy of Laos and
enemy of N Korea and enemy of some muslims in the South of Thailand.
Muslim countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia are Philippines as a
Christian country is alone. They also know Thailand has no principals.
Thailand did a great mistake, by letting US and allies used Thailand
to wage war against the said countries
Thailanmd won't hesitate to let US use Thai soil if US prepared to
attack Myanmar.
Since US was fored out of Vietnam and South East Asia Thailand is
livng in Fear, living with its own guilty conscience. seeking the
protection of US for picking the wrong horse.

Thailand has more enemies than friends.

It could be said. because of Thailand, Myanmar is in ASEAN.   If
others did not accept, Myanmar won't be in ASEAN.
Thailand wanted Myanmar in Asean, to make itself safe.

la Comtesse Erzsebet de Bathory,

Its nice of you to cut in. Thanks for your valuable information which
said,

" Thai  population are buying  electricity  from  Myanmar.
Thai  has  hydropower  investment  in  Myanmar .
Texaco or  Caltex  has  a  Gaz  pipeline in  Myanmar  pumping  gaz
to supply Bangkok ".

The questions are why Myanmar has electricity shortage?
Because Myanmar population don't want to buy, they don't want to pay,
for electricity, not even for the cost of producing it. the cost of
investments.  Myanmars want it free, they expect it free,  because
they consider this is theirs.

Thai hydropower investment in Myanmar is to produce electricity to
export to Thailand only, not for domestic use within Myanmar? Because
Myanmar cannot pay, not willing to pay. Myanmar government has to buy
from them and redistribute to it people in a lose , because as I said
Myanmars don’t pay, they won’t pay . They rather steal the electricity
from the wires.

Texaco or Caltex , why not they have gaz supply to Myanmar, why supply
to Bangkok?
There may be many answers to this. Some of them are,  these foreign
firms are getting away, from economic sanctions loop holes. because
Myanmars and SPDC are not benefiting as much as it should be. They are
paid a tiny fractions of the profit they are making. Because the oil
and gas happened to be in the hands of foreign forms not in the hands
of Myanmars.  Their investments in Myanmmar are also safe.

New Constitution guarantees under section 36 ( d ), it clearly stated
that, “ Union shall, not nationalize economic enterprises .”

You may also see clearly through Texaco or Caltex, and others ,  how
hypocritical US  or the west is. They like to have their hands on
profitable business and enterprises only while economic sanctions
being imposed on Myanmar,  intact .

Sando.

My man Zo Khup,

Are you a Myanmar, have you been to Myanmar , have you been there and
study the general situations?

Tell us about your state.  What about your own state in Myanmar, What
State is that? Your name as Zo Khup tells me nothing.

Is there electricity, in your state, 24/7,  do your people pay for it?
How do they live in your state, with Candles or on moon light if the
clouds are clear?  Where did they get these candles from?  Or all
people in your state as blind as you are, they don’t need electricity
at all to see, they can do without?

But, you have asked a very good and very relevant question Zkhup I am
expecting that kind of questions. You have been talking non sense all
the time. Are you trying to talk sense or what,  for a change?  Good
man.

I did say, " Because Myanmar population don't want to buy, they don't
want to pay, for electricity, not even for the cost of producing it,
the cost of investments.  Myanmars want it free, they expect it free,
because they consider this is theirs."

It could be said in plain language , many Myanmar people steals
electricty, yes true. When they are caught. they have had the outside
court settlement.

Electricity departments supplying regular service to regular payers.
Because of none regular payments. In another words, no contribution
from the people, People don't take responsibility for their own use.
Yet many people have, power converters to store the power which they
do not use. They don't let other use either. They also have small
portable power generators.  The cost of converters and portable
generators, they may be Chinese made , they are not cheap either.

Blackouts are a fact of life in Myanmar for the none regular payers.
That happens in town and cities. Village life has no change since the
days I remember.

It won’t be an exaggeration if I'd say some of them do not even know
what electricity is.
Even in most advanced developed nations in the world , miles and miles
of highways, away from town and cities have no lights. Electricity
cost money. Nobody willing to pay for highway lights. Yet they are
using highways.

In Myanmar Factories, and workshops ,markets,  government departments
gets priority. Many of them are provided with emergency generators.
BTW, emergency electric power is everywhere in the world in case of
emergency.  In Myanmar only emergency services work 24/7.

There is no night life in Myanmar.  When the sun goes down Myanmar is
covered with darkness. Most people sleep.

Don't you forget that, Myanmar is registered as " Least Developed
Country " by the United Nations, before the economic sanction are
imposed by the West. Myanmar is being barred to get loan from World
Bank, IMF or even ADB which are dominated by the West, or under the
control of the West.

I always talk about Realities, which is in other words the Truth.  A
nation is build by the people of that nation, not by the government of
that nation. It has the meaning, if only you could know.

MGT.

"the  people  in  Myanmar  are  poor "

Is that the fact ?  I wonder who is making them poor.
Myanmar is registered as the Least Developed Country. Yet economic
sanction is imposed on by the West.

I have seen ,people from human species  are living in card board boxes
under the bridges and by the streets of US and in UK and dying there .

Myanmar’s next door neighbour, in India some children are living in

Hi S/M, my old man,

Don't pretend to be stupid, because you are not. You know quite well
that TS ordered oppression to be carried out by the Tatmadaw. Like
Radovan Karadzic of former Yugoslavia, who currently stands trial
before the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague (even while
he refuses to be present) for genocide, TS did not commit those crimes
with his own bare hands, but he gave orders to the Tatmadaw for
various kinds of human rights violations, including murder and rape.
Well, he may not have ordered rape explicitly, but he gave the
Tatmadaw the authority and right to do whatever necessary to force
people to stop resisting the junta and to obey them. Rape cases were
never punished to the offenders as far as I know.

TS is also responsible for the total destruction of thousands of
villages, the dispelling of its inhabitants and robbing them from
their scanty possessions. He can be accused of many more crimes, like
deprivation of freedom, robbing, destruction of the country's economy,
torture, most of which can be summarised as crimes towards humanity,
severe human rights violations. The expelling and killing of Rohingyas
is a very sad, recent example. I hope he will still live when brought
to trial and hears his sentence. That would be best to many survivors
of his cruel rule.

Crimes like lying, deceiving, disregarding the people's wishes,
(violently) forcing the people to assent with the junta's wishes,
rigging voting results and referendum procedures do not fall in the
category of HR violations, but on itself are serious enough to convict
him for. Yet he should not be the only one to stand trial, his fellow
generals should join him as well as many other high ranked and
responsible officers. They all acted consciously and deliberately for
reasons of self-enrichment and perverted exercise of power, not for
reasons of protecting the Burmese people or liberating them from some
other source of repression or fighting (inter)national terrorists
targeting innocent people.

You obviously chose the wrong and eventually losing side, it would be
good for you to experience that while still alive too, because you
can't be prosecuted for anything you said and will say (write) in SCB
and other forums, unless calling for carrying out all kinds of human
rights violations, provoking others to commit those. Internet forums
have freedom of speech and information exchange and talking/writing in
principle is not prohibited or punishable. I would like to keep it
that way.

You must know quite a lot about our fellow Labour for accusing him of
specific crimes. Would you want to make some impression with your made
up list of crimes? Or do you keep him responsible for what happened in
1988? Do we also have to keep you responsible for what happened in
1988 and since then? I sincerely hope not.

Regards,
JRB

Than Shwe, above the law, escapes conviction for genocide, crimes
against humanity, while Aung San Suu Kyi has been convicted for
offering hospitality to a stranger; all that because of the junta's
excessive, rigid, invalid, unfair and undue laws and orders.

Zo Khup,

You are more stupid than I thought. What an ignorant you are.

What public money? You need to bring it on with more

How many of 57 million have regular income to pay taxes for these
projects.

Do you pay tax, what about your father ?

Government is government army or civilian.elected or self imposed or
installed by the outsiderrs.(your fathers)

In Myanmar  Tatmadaw (the army) as SPDC is the government of today.
Recognised by the United Nations, Whether YOU like it or not is
irrelevent.

What ever army owned is , even the shoes and socks they are wearing is
the nation's propverty. Every Tome , Dick and Harry knows that.

Private owned companies, joint ventures companies, army owned,
government own, what's the difference?

Myanmmar is a Private Proverty . Myanmar belongs to Myanmars. Myanmar
is Privately owned by the Myanmars.

My father also is a Myanmar.  I am a Myanmar . I don't know about you
or your father, you mother might know.

Just because it is our ( Myanmars) own property, to say it very
rudely,  nobody can f - - k  Mynamars as they like especially Myanmars
cannot f - - k their own country. I hope, everybody in the world
respect that private ownership.

Since 1948 when Myanmars got their country back from the British they
have been f - - king their own country, their own people.
They did not like British were f - - -king, they didi not like
Japanese were f- - king them. They ( Myanmars all Myanmars ) have to f
- - k themselves.

Some of them with he help of the their surrogate fathers, adopted
fathers, their mother' teasers.  Those who already have had their
foprefather f - - ked.
Even today, so called Myanmars like you are woho are outside f - -
king . Myanmar and its people in your own ways.
Your pure hatred for the Tatmadaw ( army ) won't help Myanmars
electricity problems.  Think of somethig else.

Now you know, Myanmar is in need of electricity, among other things.
Myanmars are not paying for their useage, reluctant to pay, instead
they are doing what they like because it is their property. Stealing
their own property.

If they don't want to pay, they should not be using it,  as simple as
that. They have no rights to moan,no rights to groan. No money, no
honey,  that's it.

Myanmars must learn everything in hard way.

Do you accept what is going on in Myanmar. Do you have any investments
in Myanmar , for the sake of the people, for the sake of the nation,
at least for the sake of yourself?  To make money, to accumalate
monies, to make profit for yourself ?   If you cannot make reasonable
profit for yourself.your business will die out tomorrow. Your money
will dry out.

Can you understand what I am saying?  If you cannot understand what I
am saying, you better drop dead  Zo Khup.

You are more stupid than I thought. In fact you are an ignorant.

MGT
