Too young to catch mice?

We got a kitten to catch the mice in the house. He's about 12 weeks
old or so. The vet has recommended that he stay indoors, so he's not
getting any practice hunting outside at all. He loves to chase the
laser and play with little foam balls, and we have one of those little
mice that hangs on an elastic string that goes over the door that he

Hmmm. I'm glad she's okay now. Our Boo needs a dental, and soon. I am
dreading it, as I hate to risk the anesthesia. (She has heart trouble,
thyroid problems, and is 14.) You really might want to keep an eye on
Marlo's teeth. As I recall she is a young cat. You might be able to ward off
worse problems by having her teeth checked.

I hope for your sake that it is minor. My little Jake started
drooling, then in a very short time just under a month, he developed a

Recommendations for flea medicine

My cat likes to go outside sometimes. I worry about fleas and ticks,
of course, and I need some recommendations on ways to avoid this.
My Vet wants me to buy the prescription stuff, but a few friends say
the over-the-counter Advantage is just as good. I'd prefer getting
the over-the-counter stuff, so I don't have to order ahead at my vets,

I don't think you could beat that price anywhere. I was expecting it to be
pretty flimsy and that we'd have to "shore it up" a lot. But it's really
sturdy and well made - pressed wood, of course, but very heavy, and there
are no exposed nails or staples. The bolts they used are very large
diameter (1/4", I think) and long enough (about 6" deep into all the poles)
