  The only symphonies of Bruckner that I am familiar with are #4 and #8. I &lt;br&gt; find nothing of great interest in #4, but agree that #8 is an altogether &lt;br&gt; different story. In spite of having listened to both many times over &lt;br&gt; several years, sometimes with score, I can&#39;t shake a lasting impression of &lt;br&gt; a whole set of 8-bar phrases just joined end to end, with string tremolo
