Yeah--blue cheese can be overpowering.  I ordered a blue cheese
stuffed hamburger once in a la-ti-da eatery,  Could NOT finish it, it
it was so loaded with the cheese.  Same goes for chocolate chip
pancakes - waaay too rich.  Some food goes a long way on a little -
like some wasabi.  And ginger.  And oregano.
