I was excited to try it again after many years, but it looks like
there is hydrolyzed soy in it.  Can anyone confirm or deny?

I don't know.  It did say organic.  I didn't see fancy.

I really really do love split pea soup!  But I can empathize anyway.

I've found both the beef and the chicken "Better than Bullion" at
Wal-mart. Right next to the Wylers cubes.

It really is decent, but still pretty salty.  I've gone (mostly but not
always) to planning ahead enough to make home made stock.

I buy Wylers cubes to keep in my locker at work tho' and have a couple
of jars of BTB in the freezer for "emergency" use at home.

A touch of red wine vinegar is nice as well.

the last time i looked it was not at my regular grocer (though i swear i've
seen it there before), so i got it at whole foods.  shipping charges might
give me pause.

that's why i would say look around - i don't think it's terribly difficult
to find.  if there's a whole foods, they'd almost surely have it.  (the
superior touch website did not seem to have a retail store locator.)

I have to remember to look.  We have several high end stores I could
go to, it's just that the only time I think about it is when someone
mentions it here.

Newt's tongues are available in most supermarkets.  Oh wait, this thread
is about lentils!  I think you can find lentils there also.

Actually, I know this was mentioned before, probably just yesterday, but
that was a long time ago.

sf, seriously, I found mine at Wal-mart, not my local grocer and did not
bother to check the more expensive grocers in Austin...
